Hanafubuki ~IIDX Limited~ (Challenge steps): Most of the charts I make are loosely based off of charts of another music game--Hanafubuki is no exception. Some parts, such as the beginning and end, resemble Pop'n Music's and beatmania IIDX's Hyper charts. Well, as best as I can remember, at least. The 16ths in this chart are mostly to match the song's rhythm.
I gave this chart a 10, because the amount of jumps and 16ths do take some prior experience in music games to hit accurately. Most of the charts I make are generally 9s and 10s, but also modeled in a way that I can pass them on pad.

Bad Boy Bass!! (dj Remo-Con Mix) (Challenge steps): I think this is also loosely based off of beatmania IIDX's Hyper chart for Bad Boy Bass. I don't quite remember. Basically though, when you would need to scratch on IIDX's Hyper chart, there is a jump for the stepchart. I tried to follow the song closely to the steps, but of course minding my own [lack of] stamina so I can actually pass this and not embarrass myself in front of curious onlookers watching someone play custom songs on an ITG2 cab.
Rating is a 10, as usual, because the 16th streams get rather messy (but they aren't long 16th streams) at the end of the song, and there are jumps everywhere. Thank goodness this isn't a very fast song.

Son of Sun: I made both the Standard and Heavy steps. The Standard steps were made a couple months ago, and the previous set of Heavy steps were intended to be a more chaotic Standard chart--more jumps, more 16th triplets, more crossovers and spins, more of everything. Then one day I tried to play it on an ITG machine; I failed badly.
Hence the revision. I don't really want to talk about the Standard steps, I just keep it there for the sake of memories, I suppose. But the new Heavy steps were made with DJMax Technika's TP and SP charts in mind. Son of Sun is fast. After reviewing the old Heavy steps before erasing them for good, I thought that this song needed less crossovers and 16ths, but to make up for that lack of difficulty, I put more jumps in. Jumps aren't that bad as long as they aren't cluttered together, and there aren't very many consecutive jumps in the new Heavy steps.
Easier or not, the new Heavy steps are still a 10. As previously mentioned, this song is fast(er), compared to the others, clocking in at 200 BPM. 200 BPM with crossovers and 16th streams will kill me, so I made it easier. I guess it's kinda like Sakura on DDR--the Heavy is listed as a 10 but plays like a 9.5 or so because Sakura is just plain fast.

Setsugekka (Starmine Extended Ver.): Designed to match just at least 90% of the music. Any more matching and I don't think I would be able to get up after playing on an ITG machine. This is the extended version found on Ryu*'s Starmine album, so it's about 4 minutes long--well, it would be, but I snipped off the last 20-30 seconds or so since those last seconds are just leading into the next song, and therefore unnecessary. That's why after you hit the last jump, the music abruptly stops. Yes, I am bad at snipping, but let's not concern ourselves with that right now.
Heavy rating is a 10, of course. First off, it's over 3 minutes long. Second, there are odd 16th note patterns everywhere. Third, there are 16th streams, lots of them. I'd say about 70% of this chart is made up of 16th streams that are at least 6 arrows. Aside from the sections where there are 5 8th-note consecutive jumps (there's quite a few of them), this chart doesn't offer a whole lot of air-time, which is probably a good thing. Plenty of simple 8th-note streams (with some crossovers)--I call those my breaks.
Oh right, there are mines. But the mines are just there. If I were editing charts with 3.95, I would've added roll freezes there instead of mines. If I weren't afraid of collapsing while playing this song, I would've added 32nd-streams.
